Every summer, Rafa Nadal devotes part of his vacation to sail the seas aboard a luxurious boat. Until 2019, the tennis player did it with Beethooven, a 23-meter yacht that the Spaniard put on sale for 2.6 million euros and finally sold for 2.2 million. In 2020, to continue his traditional maritime getaway surrounded by friends and family, he sought an even more powerful replacement, and commissioned the company Sunreef Yatchs the 80 Sunreef Power Great White, one of his flagship yachts.
The Mallorcan star bought this boat for about 5 million euros, a figure that already gives a glimpse of the nautical marvel with which the tennis player was made. But this fact has been confirmed with the awards ceremony held by the American luxury magazine Robb Report, where Nadal’s boat has won the Best of The Best award in the Best Cat category.
The awards praise the unique characteristics of the 80 Sunreef Power Great White. It is a luxury yacht with a length of 23.95 meters, a maximum beam of 12 meters and a capacity of eight passengers. Thanks to its powerful engine it can reach a maximum speed of 23 knots and 16 knots cruising.
With a minimalist decor, based on neutral tones with metallic details, the yacht has four luxurious cabins. One of them, the master suite, features a dressing room, sofa, a fold-down ceiling TV over the double bed and a private fold-out balcony.
Great White’s bright salon offers two oversized lounging sofas adjacent to the aft cabin, a dining area for eight at the bow and two 77-inch TVs installed side by side.
The boat’s aft garage houses a large jet ski and a selection of water toys along with a refueling station. It also has a large hydraulic swim platform to carry the yacht’s tender and provide an additional place for sunbathing by the water.
